UGro Coco Block XL Organic: compact coco substrate yielding up to 70 litres

UGro Coco Block XL Organic is a dehydrated, compressed block of organic coconut substrate. It is intended for indoor and outdoor cultivation and suits growers who want a peat-free growing medium that is compact to store and straightforward to prepare. Once hydrated with clean water, the 5 kg block produces up to 70 litres of ready-to-use coco peat.

Prepare the full block with 18 litres of water

Place the block in a suitably large container and add 18 litres of clean water. After around 2–3 minutes, the material is fully hydrated and has reached its intended volume. The loosened substrate can then be distributed between your growing containers as required. Before use, the compressed format makes a large volume of growing medium easier to store and transport.

Washed, sieved and OMRI-listed coconut material

The plant-based coconut substrate is made in India, washed in clean, salt-free water and sieved to remove fine particles. This Organic version is OMRI listed and intended for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. A water holding capacity of 60–65% provides a clearly specified basis for planning irrigation.

Non-buffered substrate for controlled nutrient management

UGro XL Organic is supplied non-buffered. Take this into account when preparing the nutrient solution and choosing a feeding programme, rather than treating the product as a pre-buffered coco substrate. Its specified pH range of 5.5–6.5 and low EC below 0.6 mS/cm make it easier to factor the substrate’s starting values into your cultivation plan.
