Plagron Perlite is a mineral growing medium additive made from expanded volcanic rock. Its lightweight, porous structure loosens soil, improves drainage and helps maintain a balanced ratio of water and air around the roots. The 10-litre bag is suitable for indoor and outdoor growers who want to prepare their own growing mixes or improve the structure of an existing soil substrate.

Improved aeration and drainage around the roots

The porous granules help prevent growing media from becoming excessively compacted. This allows surplus water to drain more freely while maintaining air spaces within the root zone. The resulting structure supports root development and makes Plagron Perlite a useful component in many custom growing mixes. Suitable as an additive or hydroponic growing medium

Plagron recommends mixing 10–35% Perlite into soil, allowing you to adjust the proportion according to the required structure and drainage. The material consists entirely of perlite, is germ-free and offers consistent quality. According to the manufacturer, it can also be used as a hydroponic growing medium in its own right. Defined granule size and controlled quality

The granule size is 0–6 mm. Plagron specifies an EC value of 0.0–0.1 mS/cm for Perlite. The product carries the RHP quality mark and comes in a 10-litre bag weighing between 1.5 and 2.5 kg according to the manufacturer.
