Plant Irrigation Kits and Watering Systems

Irrigation Systems – reliable water and nutrient supply for grow tents & greenhouses

With the right irrigation system your plants receive consistent, demand-based watering from seedling to harvest. In this category you’ll find power-free gravity systems, pump-driven drip irrigation, capillary and wick systems, as well as matching accessories such as tanks, filters, tubing, connectors, and controllers.

System types at a glance

• Gravity systems (no power required) – operate without pumps using a valve in the tray (e.g. Autopot Systems). They allow natural wet/dry cycles, are very low-maintenance, and can be expanded modularly.
• Pump-driven drip irrigation – nutrient solution is delivered from the tank through main lines and splitters to drippers or micro-sprinklers. Ideal for larger setups or frequent, short irrigation cycles (e.g. with coco substrates).
• Capillary & wick systems – provide a steady baseline moisture supply via capillary mats or wicks; popular for propagation, holiday watering, or sensitive young plants.
• Sensor/cone systems (passive) – ceramic probes release water according to demand, great for potted plants needing individual moisture regulation.

Components & accessories

• Reservoirs & tanks – rigid or collapsible options (easy to set up and store), often with Click-Fit connections and filters.
• Filters, taps & check valves – protect drippers/valves from particles, make flushing easier, and secure flow direction.
• Tubing & connectors – commonly 16 mm main lines with 9 mm or 4 mm feeds to modules; T-, L-, cross-connectors and reducers for clean distribution.
• Drippers & sprinklers – fixed or adjustable flow rates for targeted supply per pot or zone.
• Trays, saucers & mats – ensure clean setups, retain runoff, and enable capillary irrigation.
• Control & monitoring – analog/digital timers, flow regulators, thermo-/hygrometers, plus pH/EC monitoring for nutrient solution.

Planning & design

• Substrate & crop goals: Soil requires fewer but larger irrigations; coco/hydro benefit from frequent, smaller pulses.
• Tubing layout: Keep lines short, bends smooth, and diameters adequate. Place the tank higher for gravity-fed systems.
• Pump selection: Match flow rate and pressure to drippers/distributors (check manufacturer specs) and add a safety margin.
• Expandability: Dimension the main line generously and include flush/drain points for easy integration of additional modules.

Operation, maintenance & nutrient solution

• pH & EC: For soil pH ~6.0–6.5, for coco/hydro pH ~5.5–6.0 (follow fertilizer instructions). Adjust EC gradually to plant stage.
• Cleanliness: Rinse filters regularly, flush lines via taps, and clean valves/drippers in warm soapy water if needed.
• Nutrient solutions: Mineral feeds are most system-friendly. With organic mixes, use fine filters and flush more often to prevent blockages.
• Safety: Always run a leak test before first use, check all connections, and keep tanks lightproof to prevent algae growth.

Quick guide – which system is right?

• Low effort, no power: gravity-fed tray systems with valves.
• Many pots, flexible intervals: pump-driven drip irrigation with distributors and timers.
• Propagation/holiday watering: capillary mats or wick systems for steady baseline moisture.
• Individual pot control: sensor/cone systems per plant.

In the Irrigation Systems category you’ll find complete kits as well as all individual components for customizing and expanding – from tanks, tubing & filters to drippers, trays, and controllers.
