Consistent bottom heat for seedlings, cuttings, and young plants

The Romberg heating mat is placed underneath a mini greenhouse or terrarium and provides gentle warmth from below. This supports germination and root development when the location is too cool without additional heat.

Use and temperature

Place the heating mat under the mini greenhouse and set the setup in a bright spot (e.g., a windowsill). At normal room temperature, the mat typically creates an even temperature range of around 22–25 °C inside the greenhouse.

Ambient temperature always plays a role. The heating mat is not designed to compensate for extreme temperature differences (e.g., a cold basement or outdoor areas). You can influence the temperature in the greenhouse by ventilating (vents/sliders on the cover), briefly removing the cover, or by using a timer or a separate thermostat.

Safety and care

Do not cut, fold, bend, or otherwise damage the heating mat. Do not use it if the PVC casing, power cable, or plug is defective. Do not use as a heating pad for people or animals, and do not cover it with textiles or heat-sensitive materials.

The heating mat is splash-resistant but not suitable for underwater use. After use, the surface can be cleaned and the mat stored compactly until the next time you need it.
