Demand-based drip watering for three plants from a dedicated reservoir

The Tropf-Blumat 3 plants kit incl. 30 litres tank automatically supplies up to three plants with water according to their individual needs. Each Tropf-Blumat responds directly to the moisture level in the surrounding growing medium and controls its own water delivery. The system requires no electricity or electronics, making it particularly suitable for smaller watering installations on terraces, balconies and in greenhouses.

Individual moisture control for every plant

Each Tropf-Blumat acts as both a moisture sensor and a watering control. As the growing medium becomes drier, its valve opens and water is delivered to the plant through the thin drip tube. Once sufficient moisture has been restored, the water flow stops again. This allows all three plants to respond independently rather than being watered on a fixed timer. Additional Tropf-Blumat watering sensors and other Blumat irrigation accessories are available for extending or adapting the system.

30-litre water supply without a mains connection

The supplied 30-litre reservoir feeds the system through the Blumat elevated tank connector. To provide sufficient gravity pressure, the water level must be at least 0.5 m above the sensors; Blumat recommends a minimum height of 1 m. The reservoir is connected to the plants with the black 8 mm feeding tube. An optional Blumat Shut-Off Valve 8–8 mm can make adjustment and reservoir cleaning more convenient.

Straightforward preparation and adjustment

Before use, each Tropf-Blumat sensor is completely filled with water and left submerged for at least 15 minutes. Place one sensor in thoroughly moistened growing medium beside each plant, then adjust the water delivery using the setting screw. Once set up, each sensor operates automatically. The reservoir simply needs to be refilled in good time, while water delivery should be checked and fine-tuned during the first few days.
