BioTabs Starterpack – organic feeding with support for living soil

The BioTabs Starterpack brings plant nutrition and beneficial soil life together in one five-part kit. Suitable for soil and coco substrates indoors or outdoors, it supports vegetative growth and flowering. It offers a practical introduction to the BioTabs method, while giving experienced growers a combination of slow-release fertiliser, liquid feed and soil improvers.

Five components for nutrition and the root zone

BioTabs tablets gradually release their nutrients within the growing medium. Orgatrex provides supplementary organic liquid feed containing sugars and trace elements. Startrex adds humus-rich material and beneficial soil bacteria to your substrate mix.

Mycotrex supplies mycorrhizal fungi, which form a partnership with plant roots and help them take up water and nutrients. Bactrex introduces beneficial soil bacteria and Trichoderma fungi to the root zone. Together, the components combine plant feeding with support for useful soil organisms.

Prepare the growing medium and follow the feeding schedule

For soil cultivation, choose a lightly fertilised organic potting mix such as BioBizz Light-Mix with perlite. Mix Startrex into the substrate, place Mycotrex in the planting hole and insert the BioTabs into the growing medium. Apply Bactrex and Orgatrex through the watering solution at the stages specified in the BioTabs feeding schedule. Between scheduled applications, water your plants as needed.

The method also works with AutoPot watering systems. In these systems, position the BioTabs tablets 10 cm above the base of the pot. Follow the relevant feeding schedule for quantities and subsequent applications.

Plan coverage around individual component requirements

The Starterpack is intended for approximately 5–10 plants, with actual coverage depending on pot size and application rates. The standard Startrex rate is 50 g per 10 litres of substrate. At this rate, the included 250 g covers 50 litres of growing medium. Check how much of each component your setup requires and allow for additional quantities when preparing larger substrate volumes.
