PrimaKlima ECO-Line, the durable, powerful AFK for all exhaust air systems
The Prima Klima ECO AFK activated carbon filter is suitable for effective air purification in grow boxes. It has a 3 cm deep bed of CTC75 carbon, which binds all odours produced in the grow box.
Volume flow of filter and fan
The respective delivery rates of the fan and activated carbon filter, known as the volume flow, should also be precisely matched. As a rule, the (optimal) air flow rate of the filter should correspond approximately to the (actual) air flow rate of the fan. If it is possible to operate fans at different speeds, a larger fan can also be connected to a corresponding filter at a lower speed. This may even be quieter and more efficient. On the other hand, if the filter is much too large, it will generate too much pressure loss and odours can no longer be filtered.
Change the pre-filter regularly
During its service life, the activated carbon becomes saturated and the effectiveness of the filter decreases, so the activated carbon should be replaced after the average service life has expired. To ensure the best results, the activated carbon filter should also be operated with a suitable dust pre-filter and this fleece should also be changed regularly.

Humidity in the grow room
The PrimaKlima ECO Line works effectively up to a humidity of 70% and a maximum temperature of 70° Celsius. It is essential to avoid exceeding these values, as otherwise the activated carbon filter will lose its effectiveness. With this in mind, the performance of the fan and filter should be designed according to the size of the grow box, and humidity and temperature should be checked regularly.
