Hesi pH Down Blüte – controlled pH reduction during flowering

Hesi pH Down Blüte is a liquid pH reducer supplied in a 1 litre bottle. It allows beginners and experienced growers using hydroponics or coco to lower an overly high nutrient solution pH during flowering. Use it alongside your nutrient programme, not as a substitute for a base fertiliser.

59 % phosphoric acid for hydroponics and coco

The concentrated solution contains 59 % phosphoric acid. Keeping pH appropriate for your crop is important for nutrient uptake. Hesi gives a guideline range of pH 5.8–6.2 for hydroponic and coco cultivation. Take the requirements of your plants and growing system into account rather than treating this as a universal target for every crop.

Add small amounts and check the result

Start by checking your prepared nutrient solution with a pH meter. When a reduction is needed, carefully add the product to the solution drop by drop. A dosing pipette helps you dispense small amounts. Mix thoroughly and measure again before adding more. The required dose depends on your readings rather than a fixed number of millilitres per litre.

Use only as much as necessary: adding a pH corrector also affects EC, or electrical conductivity, and changes the nutrient composition. Check your nutrient reservoir regularly and make adjustments only when needed.

Handle the concentrated acid safely
