In order to connect the Blumat drip system to a tap of the drinking water supply, you need a pressure reducer. The normal water pressure for house connections is usually 4 to 6 bar, which is significantly too much for this drip system. The Blumat pressure reducer is permanently set to an output pressure of 1 bar and can simply be screwed onto taps with a 3/4 inch external thread. For connecting the Blumat supply hose, the pressure reducer has a practical compression fitting on one side.
