Advanced Nutrients Sensizym – enzymes that break down dead plant material

Advanced Nutrients Sensizym is a liquid enzyme supplement for root-zone care. It helps break down dead plant material in your growing medium and suits both beginners and experienced growers working indoors or outdoors. Use it alongside your regular nutrients during vegetative growth and flowering.

Enzymes support natural decomposition

Sensizym contains xylanase, several forms of cellulase and beta-glucanase. These enzymes break complex carbohydrates in dead plant debris into simpler components. The simple carbohydrates released provide food for beneficial microorganisms around the roots, supporting the biological recycling processes within your growing medium.

Suitable for soil, coco and hydroponics

Sensizym works with hand watering and irrigation systems in soil, coco coir and hydroponic growing media. You can combine it with Advanced Nutrients base fertilisers, including the pH Perfect ranges, as well as base nutrients from other manufacturers. It complements your base fertiliser rather than replacing it.

Add to your feeding programme at 2 ml per litre

Use 2 ml of Sensizym per litre of water, equivalent to 20 ml for 10 litres. The feeding schedule includes application during vegetative weeks 1–4 and flowering weeks 1–7. Do not add Sensizym during the final flushing stage.

Help prepare coco coir for another growing cycle

Breaking down old plant debris can support the reuse of coco coir growing media. Only reuse substrate from a crop that was free from pest and pathogen problems. Flush the medium after the crop and continue using Sensizym during the next growing cycle.
