Advanced Hydroponics pH Up is a concentrated liquid pH regulator designed to raise a low pH in irrigation water and nutrient solutions. It is suitable for beginners and experienced growers working with hydroponics, coco or soil. Gradual adjustment helps you bring the prepared feed into the required range while supporting the availability of its dissolved nutrients.
Maintain a suitable range for nutrient availability
The pH level affects how readily plants can take up minerals from a nutrient solution. Advanced Hydroponics recommends a nutrient-solution range of pH 5.8–6.2. Measure the finished feed after all fertilisers and additives have been thoroughly mixed into the water. A correctly calibrated pH meter provides the reliable readings needed for accurate adjustment.
Suitable for growth and flowering across different media
Advanced Hydroponics pH Up can be used during both the growth and flowering stages. The pH increaser is suitable for hydroponic systems as well as cultivation in coco and soil. This means the same product can be used throughout the crop cycle without changing to a separate pH increaser for flowering.
Add gradually and measure again
Begin by adding only a small amount to the irrigation water or prepared nutrient solution. Mix thoroughly, allow the reading to settle and then measure the pH again. Repeat the process when necessary. The required quantity depends on the starting pH and the buffering capacity of the water, so gradual dosing helps prevent the solution from being overcorrected.
Handle the alkaline concentrate safely
The product is based on potassium hydroxide, also known as caustic potash, and is strongly alkaline and corrosive. Wear chemical-resistant gloves and suitable eye or face protection during use. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and do not breathe mist or vapour. Never mix the concentrate directly with acids or pH Down products, and keep the container securely closed when stored.
