Controlled pH reduction for flowering-stage nutrient solutions
Advanced Hydroponics pH Down Bloom is a concentrated phosphoric-acid-based pH reducer for water and nutrient solutions during flowering. It suits both new and experienced growers who want to correct pH in a controlled way after mixing their nutrients. A suitable pH helps keep dissolved nutrients available to plants; Advanced Hydroponics recommends a target range of 5.8–6.2.
Matched to the flowering stage
Advanced Hydroponics separates pH adjustment by development stage. pH Down Bloom is intended for flowering, whereas the Grow version is used during vegetative growth. The liquid concentrate can be used in hydroponic systems and with plants grown in soil or coco. It is intended solely for pH adjustment and does not replace a base or bloom fertiliser.
Adjust the nutrient solution in small steps
Add all planned nutrients and additives to the water first, mix thoroughly, then measure the pH with a properly calibrated meter. Add pH Down Bloom in small increments only, mix again and recheck after each addition. The amount required depends on factors including the starting water, solution volume and nutrient composition.
Handle the acid concentrate safely
The product contains concentrated phosphoric acid and is corrosive. Wear suitable protective gloves and eye or face protection, avoid breathing vapour or aerosol, and prevent skin and eye contact. Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children. Always follow the label and current safety data sheet.
