Quiet, Low-Vibration Exhaust for Indoor Spaces: Torin MDF Softbox
The Torin MDF Softbox combines a powerful radial fan with a sound-insulated MDF enclosure. Inside the box, the fan is suspended on rubber bands, which significantly reduces vibrations and the transfer of structure-borne noise.
Depending on the selected version, the Softbox is an exhaust solution for medium to large indoor projects where high airflow is required with the lowest possible noise level.
Design, Noise Reduction, and Connections
The MDF housing is lined with internal sound insulation and serves as both airflow ducting and a silencer. Depending on the model, the Softbox has one or more intake openings and a separate exhaust outlet. As a result, connection diameters and the number of flanges vary by version.
Speed Control and Safe Operation
Performance can be controlled using a compatible, infinitely variable fan controller (e.g., Torin Tric Digital Fan Controller, 16A).
Important note: Do not operate the fan below 30% of its rated output. The fan motor inside the box is cooled by the airflow. Running it continuously below 30% may cause the box to overheat.
