600 mm duct silencer for quieter grow room extraction systems

The 600 mm duct silencer with a choice of 100, 125, 160 or 250 mm diameter reduces noise travelling through circular ventilation ducting. It is particularly useful in grow tents and grow rooms where fan and airflow noise needs to be kept under control. Four connection sizes allow the silencer to be matched to the diameter of the existing extraction system.

Robust construction with internal acoustic insulation

The housing is made from galvanised sheet steel. A perforated inner lining and acoustic insulation help attenuate sound travelling through the duct. The standard circular duct connection incorporates a rubber lip seal for a neat connection to compatible ventilation components. Matching ventilation ducting is available in suitable diameters for building or extending the extraction run.

Position close to the source of the noise

For effective attenuation, the silencer should be installed as close as practical to a fan or duct bend, either directly before or after it. Where greater noise reduction is required, two silencers can also be installed in series. Suitable extractor fans and ducting fittings can be combined with the appropriate silencer diameter when planning a complete ventilation system.
