Peat-free coco seed-starting mix for seeds and cuttings
Romberg Coco Seed Starting Soil (2.5 liters) is a peat-free propagation medium made from 100% coco fibers. It is lightly pre-fertilized and stays loose and well-aerated for long-lasting drainage. This supports healthy root formation and is tailored to the needs of young plants during the propagation stage.
Features
- Material: 100% plant-based coco fibers (peat-free)
- Structure: loose and airy for strong root development
- Nutrient level: low, lightly pre-fertilized for the initial growth phase
How to use
Fill seed trays, plug trays, or small pots with the coco seed-starting mix and press the substrate down only lightly. Sow seeds or insert cuttings and keep the medium evenly moist. Avoid waterlogging so young roots can access sufficient air.
- Suitable for: sowing, pricking out, propagating from cuttings
- Recommended containers: seed trays, small pots, mini greenhouses
Further growing notes
Because propagation media are only lightly fertilized, many seedlings will need additional nutrients after they have established roots. Start with a mild feed once the first true leaves appear and the plant is growing steadily.
If the medium dries out completely, it may absorb water more slowly at first. In that case, water in small amounts until moisture is evenly distributed again.
