Extractor fans, activated carbon filters and ventilation ducts do not always have matching connection diameters. A suitably sized reducer allows you to join components with different openings without replacing the entire ventilation system.

13 size combinations for different duct diameters

The reducer comes in 13 size combinations, covering connection diameters from 100 to 400 mm. This range allows you to select the appropriate transition for your existing ductwork or ventilation equipment.

For example, the 125/100 mm version joins a 125 mm connection to a 100 mm connection. When choosing a size, check that both diameters match the components you intend to connect. Keep in mind that reducing the duct diameter can increase airflow resistance.

Connecting extractor fans and carbon filters

The reducer can also be used to connect directly to an extractor fan or activated carbon filter when combined with an additional connecting sleeve or suitably sized fast clamp.

For extending the ductwork, you can combine the reducer with compatible flexible ventilation ducting. Ensure that connections are securely fastened and keep duct runs as short and unobstructed as possible to minimise unnecessary airflow resistance.
