Plagron Seeding & Cutting Soil is a high-quality propagation and cutting soil specially developed for the needs of sensitive young plants. Its fine, even structure provides seedlings and cuttings with a stable growing medium, allowing young roots to spread easily through the substrate.
The mix is based on peat and sand and is lightly fertilised. This gives young plants a gentle nutrient supply without exposing them to overly strong fertilisation. The low EC value and suitable pH level support reliable germination as well as fast and vigorous root formation.
The right substrate is especially important during the propagation phase. Soil that is too heavily fertilised or too coarse can stress sensitive young roots. Application
Fill a suitable propagation pot or tray with Plagron Seeding & Cutting Soil and place the seeds, seedlings or cuttings directly into the substrate. Keep the soil evenly moist, but avoid waterlogging.
Once the young plants have developed strong roots, they can be transplanted into a suitable growing substrate. This is usually the case after around two weeks, depending on the plant species, climate and root development.
