CO2 Bag L or XL for straightforward CO₂ enrichment in indoor growing

The CO2 Bag carbon dioxide bag from CO2 Products Oy is a passive CO₂ generator for grow tents and other enclosed growing areas. Once activated, the bag continuously releases carbon dioxide into the surrounding air, supporting photosynthesis without requiring a gas cylinder, electrical connection or complex dosing equipment. Two sizes are available: the 100 g L version and the larger 150 g XL version.

Choose L or XL to suit your growing area

The L version is designed for an area of approximately 1–3 m² and, according to the manufacturer, releases CO₂ for around 1–3 months. The 150 g XL version covers approximately 2–4 m² and remains active for around 2–4 months. Actual service life depends on factors including temperature and ventilation. Simple activation and effective positioning

To activate the CO2 Bag, make several small holes through the upper section of the bag. It should then be suspended in a dry location above the plants, but not directly over them. As carbon dioxide is heavier than air, it gradually moves down towards the plant canopy. Gentle air movement helps distribute it throughout the growing space, making suitable circulation fans a useful addition to the setup.

Integrating extra CO₂ into the growing environment

The manufacturer recommends an operating temperature of around 25 °C. Where strong extraction is used, position the bag away from the exhaust point so that the released CO₂ is not immediately removed from the growing area. CO₂ supplementation is most useful when lighting, irrigation and nutrition can also support the increased plant metabolism.
