Blumat 47-litre tank for a practical Tropf-Blumat water supply

The Blumat tank, 47 litres incl. lid and 8mm Blumat connection provides a dedicated water reservoir for Tropf-Blumat irrigation systems. Its prepared outlet makes it suitable for indoor grows, greenhouses, balconies and other installations where plants are supplied from an elevated reservoir. This type of setup does not require a permanent connection to a water tap.

Ready for an 8 mm feeding line

The tank comes with a pre-drilled 12.5 mm opening and a matching 8 mm Blumat tank connector, so there is no need to drill the reservoir yourself. From the outlet, a compatible 8 mm Blumat feeding tube can be used as the main supply line. Blumat recommends installing a Blumat 8 mm shut-off valve immediately after the tank connector, making adjustment, cleaning and maintenance easier.

Opaque reservoir with a protective lid

The opaque container limits light reaching the stored water, helping to reduce algae growth. The supplied lid also helps keep leaves, dust and other debris out of the reservoir. Its 47-litre capacity provides a useful water reserve without requiring an especially large footprint. The actual refill interval depends on the number and size of your plants, their growing conditions and their individual water requirements.

Correct positioning for gravity-fed operation

When used as an elevated reservoir, the water level must be above the plants. Blumat specifies a minimum height difference of 0.5 m and recommends keeping the water level at least 1 m above the Tropf-Blumat sensors.
