AutoPot FlexiPot Irrigation System – 36 × 20 L

The AutoPot FlexiPot system combines the proven, fully mechanical AutoPot irrigation principle (bottom-feeding) with high-performance, breathable 20-liter fabric pots. You get a scalable complete system for 36 plants: once set up, each plant supplies itself according to its needs – reliable, power-free, and with minimal maintenance.

Breathable FlexiPots: Air Pruning Instead of Root Circling

The porous sidewalls of the FlexiPots ensure strong gas exchange within the substrate. As soon as root tips reach the pot edge, they are “air pruned” through contact with air. This encourages the formation of more secondary and fine roots, improving water and nutrient uptake while preventing classic root circling. The result is a healthier root system and often noticeably faster growth.

Indoor note: Many fabric pots can increase room humidity due to evaporation through the pot walls. When running 36 FlexiPots, plan for appropriate dehumidification and/or air exchange if necessary.

All materials used are, of course, BPA- and lead-free.

AQUAvalve5: Natural Wet/Dry Cycles – Completely Without Power

The heart of each module is the AQUAvalve5. It fills the tray to a defined water level (approx. 20 mm) and then automatically shuts off. Only once the water has been fully used does the valve reopen and start the next cycle. This prevents roots from sitting in water permanently, supports healthy root development, and reduces the risk of waterlogging.

The current AQUAvalve5 is designed for real-world reliability: the 5 mm inlet allows faster flow, fewer deposits, and very good compatibility with many nutrient solutions (including organic ones, with the usual care required for systems using tubing and valves).

Root Control Included: FlexiPot PotSock

Especially with vigorous root growth, root control is essential. The FlexiPot PotSocks included in the set are placed under each FlexiPot (gold side facing up) and prevent roots from growing out of the pot toward the tray or AQUAvalve. This keeps the valve clear and ensures long-term system reliability.

400 L FlexiTank: Long Runtime, Foldable, Ideal for Longer Absences

The 400-liter FlexiTank supplies your setup via gravity. The only requirement is that the tank is positioned higher than the system (rule of thumb: at least approx. 15 cm above the highest AQUAvalve/tray). Water flows through the 16 mm main line to the 16/9 mm distributors and from there via 9 mm lines to each individual tray.

Practical detail: the click-fit tank adapter with filter mounts directly to the tank tap and filters the water before it enters the line – a simple and effective measure for long-term clean operation.

Complete System with Expansion Potential

In addition to pots, trays, and valves, the set includes all necessary accessories such as tubing, connectors, filters, and shut-off taps. If you want to expand later, the system is modular and can be extended (provided tank capacity, layout, and plant demand are matched sensibly).

Optional upgrade (not included): With AirBase (drainage plate) and AirDome (active root zone aeration), oxygen supply to the root area can be further increased – interesting for particularly fast-growing crops or very moisture-retentive substrates.
