Advanced Nutrients Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra – targeted calcium and magnesium supplementation

Advanced Nutrients Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra is a liquid mineral supplement for plants grown in soil, coco and hydroponic systems. Suitable for beginners and experienced growers, it complements an existing feeding programme with additional calcium, magnesium and trace elements. You can use it during both vegetative growth and flowering.

Calcium and magnesium with iron, manganese and zinc

Calcium contributes to plant cell development, while magnesium forms part of chlorophyll, the green pigment in leaves. Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra also supplies iron, manganese and zinc. The iron is chelated, meaning it is bound in a form that helps keep it available to plants. Kelp, a seaweed ingredient, adds vitamins and amino acids to the formula.

Additional support for coco and soft-water feeding

Growing in coco or using soft or reverse osmosis water can make additional calcium and magnesium useful. The deciding factor is how much your water and base nutrients already supply. Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra does not replace a complete base fertiliser. It can be combined with Advanced Nutrients base nutrients, including the pH Perfect range, as well as base nutrients from other manufacturers.

Dosage and nutrient solution checks

Shake the container before use. To correct relevant nutrient deficiencies, add 2 ml per litre of water and repeat after one week if needed. For regular supplementation, the manufacturer recommends the same dosage once a week. The product is also suitable for foliar feeding.

When deficiency symptoms appear, check irrigation, root health and pH rather than simply increasing the amount of fertiliser. Suitable pH and EC meters help you monitor your nutrient solution. Additional Cal-Mag is not automatically necessary when your water and base nutrients already provide enough calcium and magnesium.
