ADWA AD11 – check pH and temperature before you water

The ADWA AD11 electronic pH meter measures pH and temperature in irrigation water and nutrient solutions. Suitable for beginners and experienced indoor and outdoor growers, this waterproof handheld tester lets you check both your source water and a freshly mixed nutrient solution before watering your plants.

View pH and temperature together

The dual-line LCD displays both measurements at the same time. Automatic temperature compensation, or ATC, accounts for the effect of temperature on the pH electrode’s measurement signal. The pH display has a resolution of 0.1 pH, while the temperature reading can be shown in either °C or °F.

Calibrate at one or two points

The AD11 automatically recognises suitable buffer solutions and supports both one- and two-point calibration. For a two-point calibration covering the acidic range, start with pH 7.01 calibration solution, followed by pH 4.01 calibration solution. Select the matching buffer set in the meter’s setup menu first. Regular calibration is an essential part of looking after your tester.

Wait for a stable reading, then hold it

Immerse the electrode in the liquid and stir gently. Take your reading once the stability indicator disappears. The hold function temporarily freezes the display, giving you time to write down the result. Rinse the probe thoroughly between different samples to prevent residues from carrying over into the next solution.

Care for the electrode and replace it when needed

Keep the sensing tip moist during storage and follow the care instructions in the user manual. Never store the electrode in distilled or deionised water. When the probe wears out, fit a compatible ADWA AD11P replacement electrode rather than replacing the entire meter. Recalibrate the tester after fitting the new electrode.
