The clean solution with many applications.
A hygienic environment is the foundation for stable grow results: Purolyt disinfectant concentrate helps you keep your plants’ surroundings free from unwanted microorganisms. This creates clean conditions in grow tents, greenhouses, and work areas – even at high temperatures and humidity.
Purolyt is a disinfectant concentrate based on hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and is produced in a resource-efficient electrochemical process from water + salt + electricity. It is diluted according to the specific application and is suitable for room air, surfaces/equipment, water/liquids, and inert substrates.
Application & Dosage
Important: For all applications, observe the information on the manufacturer’s label/data sheet. The following dosages are typical manufacturer recommendations for the respective areas of use.
| Application | Dosage / Dilution | Practical Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Air / Room (Spraying or Fogging) | 1:50 (20 ml per 1 liter of water) | Use purified water for the solution (e.g. distilled, deionized, or reverse osmosis water). Cold fogging is recommended for optimal distribution, especially for room air treatment. |
| Surfaces / Equipment / System Components | 1:50 (20 ml per 1 liter of water) | Pre-clean surfaces mechanically. Fully wet all areas. Allow to act for 3–6 minutes depending on contamination. Parts with cavities can be immersed; pipes and hoses can be flushed. |
|
Water & Other Liquids (e.g. water tanks, water-bearing systems, air-conditioning systems) |
Preventive: 5–10 ml per 10 liters In case of contamination: 20–40 ml per 10 liters |
Below 23 °C, the lower dosage is usually sufficient once per week; above 23 °C, the higher dosage is usually recommended twice per week. When using organic fertilizers, enzymes, or microorganisms in hydro systems, wait 2 hours after water disinfection. |
| Inert Substrates (Recycling) | 1:100 (10 ml per 1 liter of water) | Completely soak the substrate and let it rest for 24 hours. Suitable for inert substrates (e.g. rockwool, expanded clay, perlite). |

If you spray/fog regularly: ideally apply towards the end of the lighting cycle and avoid direct sunlight/UV exposure.
