Sufficient fresh air for healthy plant growth

With a grow tent, you can decide for yourself what kind of climate prevails in your garden. Proper ventilation is essential for the best conditions in your grow tent.

Exhaust air, incoming air and negative pressure: Replace used air with fresh air

For optimal plant growth, it is essential that your plants receive enough fresh air. An exhaust air system with fan ensures that the old used air is removed from the grow tent and fresh air or intake air flows in. The installed fan also maintains low pressure and ensures that the exhaust air is discharged through the system and not through other openings in the grow tent.
If you are growing strong-smelling plants, you can also integrate a carbon filter into your extractor fan system. This makes certain that any strong, unpleasant smells that may come from the tent are filtered out, meaning that the exhaust air is almost odourless.

Circulating air: Gentle wind for stronger shoots

In addition to air exchange, the importance of circulating air should not be underestimated, either. In nature, plants are strengthened by the wind as it rocks them gently back and forth. As a result, they form thicker stems and shoots which will later have the strength to bear their fruit. Since no natural wind blows in a grow tent, it makes sense to simulate this using a circulating air fan.

In addition, grow lamps can generate an enormous amount of heat that builds up and can even burn the plants. None of this applies with a circulating air fan! It makes sure that the heat is evenly distributed in the tent and that no heat accumulation can occur.

Pipe silencer: Low-noise ventilation

Exhaust air systems, fans and air sucked through pipes or hoses are unfortunately not that quiet and can be clearly audible. If the noise disturbs you, you can install a pipe silencer. This will certainly help. Fans with pre-fitted silencer that operate work very quietly can also be purchased - e.g. the EC Silentboxes by Carbon Active.

Generally, flexible ducting is an ideal option for creating ventilation systems and for managing airflows. It is robust, flexible and light.

If you want to largely automate the climate in your grow tent, you would be well advised to work with a Grow Controller. This can be used to regulate temperature, negative pressure, fans and other devices.
