Eazy Plug Eazy Pyramid, 21x21x12,5cm

Organic growing medium with air pruning for a complete cultivation cycle

The Eazy Plug Eazy Pyramid, 21 × 21 × 12.5 cm is a pyramid-shaped growing medium designed to give an established young plant substantially more rooting space for the next stage of cultivation. It can be used for indoor and outdoor growing as well as in various hydroponic systems and is intended to support the plant through the remainder of its cultivation cycle. Its bonded structure is stable enough to be used without a plastic sleeve or separate plant pot.

Natural air pruning for a densely branched root system

The exposed sides allow emerging root tips to meet the surrounding air. This naturally limits their outward growth and encourages the plant to produce additional lateral and fine roots within the medium. The resulting air-pruning effect promotes an evenly distributed root system rather than allowing long roots to circle along an impermeable pot wall. The transition is particularly straightforward when the young plant has first been established in a compatible Eazy Block, which can then be placed directly on top of the Pyramid.

Buffered values and self-regulating moisture

According to the manufacturer, the medium has a preset pH of 5.8 and an EC value of 1.0. Its air-to-water ratio is 20:80 and self-regulates as long as surplus water is able to drain away freely. This helps retain moisture whilst maintaining air within the root zone. For a tidy setup and controlled drainage, the Pyramid can be positioned on a suitable garden tray.

Supplied dry and suitable for different growing systems

The Eazy Pyramid is supplied dry and readily takes up water again after complete dehydration. It can be combined with numerous growing media and used with drip irrigation, ebb-and-flow setups and other hydroponic techniques. Soil-based cultivation is also possible both indoors and outdoors. Related propagation and growing media are available in the Eazy Plug range. Growmart lists this item as 21 × 21 × 12.5 cm, while the manufacturer specifies dimensions of 25 × 25 × 15 cm when fully moistened.
