Romberg Coconut Coir Growing Pellets, 100 pcs
These coconut coir growing pellets are made from gently compressed coconut fibres. The peat-free growing medium is a clean, space-saving solution for starting herbs, flowers, or vegetables.
How to use: Place the pellets with the planting hole facing upwards in a seed tray or propagator. Add warm water – around 0.75 litres for 10 pellets. After about 10 to 15 minutes, the pellets will have expanded into small growing plugs. Drain off any excess water.
Seeds or cuttings can be placed directly into the central indentation. For very large seeds (e.g. pumpkin) or stronger cuttings, the planting hole can be widened slightly using a dibber. The substrate contains mild starter nutrients to support young plants during their first growth phase.
Important: During propagation, the pellets should be kept evenly moist but not waterlogged. Once the roots are well developed, the young plants can be transplanted together with the coconut root ball into larger pots or, weather permitting, directly into the garden.
