BioTabs Startrex – support active soil life in soil and coco

BioTabs Startrex is an organic soil conditioner for preparing soil and coco before planting. Its beneficial soil bacteria support biological activity in the growing medium and help plants take up nutrients. Suitable for beginners and experienced growers, Startrex can be used indoors and outdoors with vegetables, herbs and flowers, as well as trees and shrubs.

Humus, fulvic acids and beneficial soil bacteria

The humus-rich base is made from partially decomposed pressed grape residues. Humus, fulvic acids and silicon are the main components, alongside beneficial soil bacteria. These bacteria support biological processes in the growing medium and the uptake of nutrients from organic fertilisers, helping create favourable conditions for plants to establish their roots.

How to use Startrex: 5 g per litre of substrate

Before planting, thoroughly mix 25 g of Startrex into 5 litres of soil or coco. This is equivalent to 5 g per litre of growing medium, or 50 g for 10 litres. Fill your pots with the prepared mixture. These quantities refer to the volume of substrate, not to the amount of watering solution.

For application across garden beds, work 250 g of Startrex into each square metre of soil. This area-based rate is separate from the dosage used when preparing potting substrates.

1500 g or 5000 g: choose by substrate volume

At 5 g per litre, the 1500 g pack provides a calculated coverage of 300 litres of growing medium. The 5000 g pack treats 1000 litres at the same rate. Base your choice on the actual volume of substrate you need to prepare, whether for a few containers or a larger planting project.

Using Startrex within the BioTabs feeding programme

The BioTabs growing system combines Startrex with products including BioTabs fertiliser tablets and BioTabs Mycotrex. Startrex prepares the growing medium rather than replacing the complete feeding programme. For the BioTabs soil programme, use an organic light-mix or lightly fertilised organic potting soil; heavily fertilised all-mix is not intended for this programme. Follow the relevant BioTabs schedule for subsequent feeding.
