The AutoPot Root Control Disc for 1Pot XL is a round root-control barrier designed for the system's 25 litre plastic pot. Installed directly inside the plant pot, it helps restrict roots from escaping through the openings in the base and growing towards the tray and AQUAvalve. This makes it a useful replacement or spare component for existing AutoPot 1Pot XL systems.

Keeping escaping roots under control

When plants are bottom-fed from the tray, vigorous roots can eventually find their way through the openings in the pot base. The Root Control Disc provides an additional barrier in this area, helping to control root growth around the irrigation components. Its round shape is designed for the base of the AutoPot 1Pot XL 25 litre pot.

Correct positioning in a 1Pot XL pot

Before adding growing media, place the circular disc directly on the bottom inside the plant pot. For the AutoPot 1Pot XL configuration, the manufacturer's instructions specify that the gold-coloured side should face down. The pot can then be filled and planted as normal.
