Terra Aquatica Urtimax – fermented nettle brew to supplement plant nutrition

Terra Aquatica Urtimax is a liquid organic biostimulant made from nettles. It supports plant growth in soil, coco and hydroponic systems, whether you grow indoors or in the garden. Suitable for beginners and experienced growers alike, it lets you use a nettle-based supplement without preparing and fermenting your own brew.

A plant-based supplement made through fermentation

Urtimax is produced by fermenting nettles in water. The resulting brew contains silica, iron, nitrogen, potassium and magnesium, among other naturally occurring components. You can use it alongside your existing feeding programme, including Terra Aquatica nutrients suited to your growing medium. Add it to irrigation water or nutrient solution, or dilute it for application to the leaves.

Separate dilution rates for watering and foliar use

The usual application period covers vegetative growth and early flowering. When adding Urtimax to irrigation water or nutrient solution, use 30 ml per litre. For foliar spraying, dilute at 20 ml per litre of water. A batch using 10 L of water therefore requires 300 ml for watering or 200 ml for foliar application.

Use a measuring cup or dosing tool to measure the required amount, then dilute before application. Select the dilution rate for the method you are using and follow the additional directions on your container.

Choose a size for your routine and store correctly

Urtimax comes in 500 ml, 1 L and 5 L sizes. Base your choice on the volume of water you prepare for plant care and whether you intend to water or spray. Store the product in a cool, dry place, ideally at 5–25 °C. Keep the container tightly closed and upright, and place it out of the reach of children.
