Terra Aquatica TriPart Micro, Hard Water – build your feeding programme around hard water

Terra Aquatica TriPart Micro, Hard Water provides the Micro component of the three-part TriPart nutrient system. This concentrated mineral liquid supplies trace elements alongside complementary macronutrients. It suits beginners and experienced growers using soil, coco or hydroponics who need a feeding programme suited to hard source water, whether growing indoors or outside.

Choose the formula that matches your calcium level

The Hard Water formula is intended for source water containing more than 70 mg calcium per litre. Its composition takes account of the calcium already present in the water. Check the calcium concentration in your water analysis before choosing your nutrients. For water containing less than 70 mg calcium per litre, or for reverse osmosis water, use Terra Aquatica TriPart Micro, Soft Water instead.

Adjust three components as your plants develop

Combine Micro with Terra Aquatica TriPart Grow and Terra Aquatica TriPart Bloom for complete nutrition. Micro remains part of the feed during vegetative growth and flowering, while the proportions of the three components change with plant development. This lets you adjust the nutrient balance rather than use one fixed mixture throughout the crop. Micro is not a complete standalone fertiliser.

Match the dosage to the medium and growth stage

For vegetative growth, the TriPart feeding chart specifies Micro at 1.0 ml/L in soil and 1.2 ml/L in hydroponics or coco. During flowering, the corresponding rates are 1.4 ml/L and 1.6 ml/L. These are guideline rates for Micro only; add Grow and Bloom according to the full feeding chart. Account for plant requirements and the electrical conductivity, or EC, of both your source water and finished feed. EC helps you assess the overall concentration of dissolved salts.

Mix each component separately into water

Shake the concentrate thoroughly before every use. Add each nutrient component to the water separately, stirring well after each addition. Rinse your measuring container between components and after use. Never mix the undiluted concentrates together, as this can cause crystallisation or precipitation. Check the pH of your nutrient solution regularly as well.
