Temperature-based fan control for a more consistent growing environment

The SMSCOM SPC MK2 8A is an electronic climate controller designed to regulate the speed of intake and extraction fans automatically. It is suitable for indoor growing spaces and other ventilated rooms where temperature is managed through air exchange. You set the target temperature together with the minimum and maximum fan speed, while the controller continuously adjusts ventilation within these limits.

Automatic control according to room temperature

In AUTO mode, the supplied temperature sensor continuously monitors the room. If the temperature rises above the selected setpoint, the SPC MK2 increases fan speed according to the chosen control bandwidth. This allows intake and extraction airflow to respond automatically without constant manual adjustment. Adjustable minimum, maximum and control bandwidth

Minimum and maximum fan output can be set separately. This allows you to maintain a basic level of continuous ventilation while also limiting the highest fan speed. The temperature control bandwidth can be adjusted from 1–7 °C. Regardless of the settings, the difference between minimum and maximum ventilation remains at least 10 percentage points.

AUTO, off and 100% operating modes

The main switch provides automatic operation, an off position and a 100% setting. In the 100% position, connected fans run at full mains voltage, allowing the automatic control to be overridden when required. When the controller is switched on, connected fans initially run at full output for a few seconds.
