The EVO 5 models of the new EVO series are primarily intended for professionals and very experienced growers. Due to the massive light output, the use in grow boxes is not recommended by the manufacturer; this high-performance LED is better suited for open cultivation areas. As before, SANlight once again sets new standards in LED plant lighting in terms of quality, design and performance. In the in-house laboratories, the successful lamp concept has been further developed in extensive empirical tests and improved again in essential points. The new EVO 3, EVO 4 and EVO 5 models rank in the top class of LED grow lamps and are currently unrivalled on the market.
Maximum light output for open areas of 100 x 100 cm
Experienced growers can achieve and even exceed the maximum amount of light usable by the plants with two EVO 5-100 per square metre. Here, the use of CO2 supplementation is strongly recommended. In the vegetative phase, you should definitely use dimmers with this set-up. Although the light quantity of an EVO 5-100 is theoretically sufficient to illuminate a grow box of 1 sqm alone, in order to achieve a homogeneous light distribution, two lamps should be used for this area and SANlight then only recommends using it for open areas.
Broadband light spectrum and high homogeneity
In its wide-ranging series of experiments with fast-growing and light-hungry plants, SANlight has identified the ideal broadband light spectrum with just the right ratio of Far Red to Red for photo-morphogenesis. The emission wavelength ranges from 400 - 780 nm, with an extremely high efficiency of over 3 µmol/J! This allows you to increase the quantity and quality of your indoor grows. Each individual LED of the EVO 5-100 is equipped with secondary optics, which not only protect the chip from dirt and oxidation, but also enable extremely homogeneous illumination due to their light-directing properties. In contrast to unprotected LEDs, these optics are easy to clean and thus guarantee flawless operation with very high light output over a long period of time.
Quality LEDs, clever mounting options and dimmability
SANlight has also spared nothing in terms of LED quality. The latest OSRAM High Power LEDs are used for the Red and Far Red LEDs, while chips with Seoul Semiconductor's patented WICOP technology are used for the white LEDs. These LEDs are particularly robust, highly efficient and have a particularly long service life. SANlight states that the 90 % light output (LM90) is 90,000 hours - a remarkable value! The tilt function (tilted suspension of the lamp) saves a lot of space upwards. You can mount the elongated modules on the side next to the ventilation system. By tilting the lamp, a perfect and homogeneous illumination is nevertheless achieved. Of course, you can also dim the lamps of the EVO series. The optionally available dimmers (magnetic or Bluetooth) work contactless and are therefore wear-free and completely protected from water and high humidity. Thanks to the dimming function, you can easily adapt your new SANlight EVO 5-100 to all development phases of your plants. Since young plants in particular tolerate much less light than older ones and not as much light is needed during growth as during flowering, you can still illuminate your plants from seedling to harvest with the EVO 5. When dimmed, the efficiency is fully maintained and you save quite a bit on electricity costs.
