The Romberg Thermo M propagator measures 38 × 24 × 19 cm and comes with a heat mat to provide a warm space for seeds and cuttings. Suitable for beginners and experienced growers, it is designed for starting warmth-loving plants such as tomatoes, aubergines and basil indoors.

17.5 W of heat beneath the base tray

The included heat mat measures 35 × 25 cm and sits underneath the propagator. It supplies continuous warmth through the tray base to the growing medium and irrigation water. Channels in the anthracite-coloured tray allow excess irrigation water to collect and spread across the base.

At normal room temperature, Romberg gives approximately 22–25 °C inside the propagator as a guide. Actual temperatures depend on the surroundings and should be checked. A separately available Romberg HortiSwitch can be added for temperature-controlled heating.

Adjustable ventilation and a choice of growing media

The transparent cover lets you monitor your young plants without lifting it. Two sliding vents allow you to adjust airflow and influence humidity inside the propagator. You can also remove the cover briefly when needed. The food-safe plastic is easy to clean.

You are not restricted to a single propagation system. Use seed compost, Eazy Plug propagation cubes, Jiffy peat pellets or propagation blocks. When choosing cubes or inserts, check their dimensions and allow enough space for your plants.

A bright position and safe operation

Place the propagator in a bright location at normal room temperature. The heat mat is not designed to compensate for cold conditions in unheated cellars or outdoor greenhouses. It is splash-resistant but must not be submerged. Do not cut, fold, bend or puncture the mat. Follow the operating instructions and do not use it if the outer casing, cable or plug is damaged.
